Synopsis
A small-time thief steals a car and impulsively murders a motorcycle policeman. Wanted by the authorities, he attempts to persuade a girl to run away to Italy with him.

I loved *Breathless* so much, and the idea that you could take genre conventions and twist them, that you could have these jump cuts and this kind of spontaneous energy, that was a huge influence on me. It gave me a real direction.
