Corbucci, in particular, he’s one of my all-time favorite directors. It’s like if God had to pick a spaghetti Western director, it would be Corbucci. There’s a poetry to his violence. And his movies are so political. He has a sensibility that is very much in line with mine. ... Which ones of his do you like? Django, of course. The Great Silence, totally.
