When I was at film school, we watched a lot of French New Wave, and European films. I loved Truffaut. Jules and Jim was a big one for me, the spirit of it.
Jules and Jim was a big one for me, the spirit of it. When I was at film school, we watched a lot of French New Wave, and European films.
We were all influenced by the French New Wave; Godard and Truffaut, and Italian neo-realism, and we watched a lot of documentaries. That's why my early short films, like Satdee Night, often have that documentary feel to them.
Jules and Jim was a big one for me, the spirit of it. I loved Truffaut and the French New Wave.
