Peter Sohn
Peter Sohn (born October 18, 1977) is an American filmmaker, animator, storyboard artist, and voice actor. He is best known for his work at Pixar, including directing the short film Partly Cloudy (2009) and the feature films The Good Dinosaur (2015) and Elemental (2023), the latter of which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. We looked at a lot of Kurosawa films, especially Seven Samurai and Rashomon, for their landscape photography and how they capture weather and light. A lot of that stuff was inspirational for us to try and create the Pacific Northwest as a character in our film.
