Synopsis

Jaguar, a kind of road movie on foot, tells of the journey of three friends, Damouré, Lam and Illo, on their way to the Gold Coast where they hope to make a fortune in order to return to their village in a few months.

Cinema Atlas Connection
I remember when I first saw Jaguar, which is a film he shot in the 50s but only finished in the 60s, it completely blew my mind. The way he combined documentary and fiction, the way he allowed his subjects to create their own narrative and characters... it was so liberating.
