Synopsis

In Mexico, two teenage boys and an attractive older woman embark on a road trip and learn a thing or two about life, friendship, sex, and each other.

I watched this movie Y tu mamá también, and it’s about these two boys who are friends, who are on this road trip, who come across this older woman. And the way Cuarón shoots it, the camera just like dances around them. He’s always trying to find a new way to get into a space, into a scene. And I remember watching that movie and being like, if I ever make a movie, I want to try to figure out a way to do that. And so, in Moonlight, there’s a lot of things taken from Cuarón.
