Synopsis
Gru is a supervillain determined to prove he’s the greatest by stealing the Moon. To pull off his plan, he adopts three orphaned girls—Margo, Edith, and Agnes—intending to use them as part of his scheme. However, as Gru bonds with the girls, his cold, villainous exterior begins to melt.

Directors Renaud and Coffin studied Jacques Tati's Mon Oncle (1958), absorbing not jokes but Tati's visual language—humor built from production design and architectural absurdity. Gru's lair becomes Tati's modernist nightmare, all gleaming surfaces and impossible angles, where comedy lives in the space between character and environment.
