An indifferent hitman, his infatuated business partner and an ex-convict search for love and meaning as their lives cross paths in Hong Kong.
Cinema Atlas Connection
It was a film that I remember seeing and thinking, 'Oh, this is how I want to be as a filmmaker. This is the type of filmmaker I want to be.' ... The most beautiful thing in the world is a Wong Kar-wai frame. And I especially love 'Fallen Angels' because I remember seeing it for the first time, and it just feeling like what it was like to be young and to be alive and to be in love.
The way he approaches character, especially for 'Fallen Angels' and 'Chungking Express,' is very unique and powerful. Those films showed me new ways of storytelling.
