Synopsis

When young Victor's pet dog Sparky (who stars in Victor's home-made monster movies) is hit by a car, Victor decides to bring him back to life the only way he knows how. But when the bolt-necked "monster" wreaks havoc and terror in the hearts of Victor's neighbors, he has to convince them (and his parents) that despite his appearance, Sparky's still the good loyal friend he's always been.

Cinematic DNA
It’s always been a special project for me. It relates to how I felt as a child, and those early influences like the Universal monster movies and also the German Expressionist films like 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari' – the black and white, the mood, the atmosphere.

I grew up with all those movies, Universal monster movies, Hammer films, Japanese monster movies, Ray Harryhausen films. Those are the ones that I grew up with.
