Films La Belle noiseuse Inspired
When asked if she was inspired by Rivette’s 'La Belle noiseuse' for 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire,' Sciamma confirmed: 'I love that film. For me, it’s about the power of the model, and it’s a feminist film. I love the way the painter is suffering and the model is suffering, and they are both suffering for the art. It’s also about the difficulty of creation.'
