He just had this incredible talent for satire, for taking the temperature of society, and for taking genre and twisting it, and adding something to it. And I think that’s something that certainly always appealed to me. Every zombie film after Dawn of the Dead has been compared to it. It’s unavoidable because it’s a brilliant blueprint. In a sense, Shaun of the Dead is also doing that.
